Hello Neil,
A relative of mine was a mariner sailing on the Benguela (I assume the same ship) in 1919. His name was Matthew O'Fallon. He would have been about 30 at the time. He may have been an officer as he was for many years afterward. His home was in Liverpool.
Would your grandfather have mentioned this name to anyone?
