Jan-Olof,

Well, if you put it that way.... UB 90 should indeed be credited with sinking EUPION. Oliver copied some of the radio intercept files recently as part of some research we're doing on the Northern Barrage. The radio intercept Robert Grant mentions is indeed in file ADM137/4071. It goes:

12 Oct 2128 CDY to OOV

3575 tons sunk during October. Undertaking broken off 3rd Oct. owing to fouled propellers or hydroplane. Operation area [can't make out hand writing] reached. Damage sustained yesterday off Faroe Islands repaired as well as circumstances permit. Surface speed about 7 knots. ?In neighborhood of Peterhead in 3 days time. Position 61°33'N, 1°18W.

Best wishes,
Michael
