Hello again,
does anyone have access to the KTB of UB 77? I'm interested in knowing more about her action on 28.8.1918. Did she really sink the Giralda on that day or was it in fact UC 70 which sank her?
The link below claims that the Giralda was torpedoed on 12.25 p.m. on 28.8.1918. I get the impression (perhaps incorrectly) that the vessel was sailing alone when torpedoed. According to Bendert on the other hand, the vessel attacked by UB 77 on the same date was in convoy.
