I have the statement on the sinking of GIRALDA. What's on the link is based upon that but GIRALDA was escorted by three trawlers.
There's another element to be considered: the tanker LOMPOC was also torpedoed on the 28th and the attack is unattributed. Per her statement, she was in convoy and the escort included a destroyer and a sloop. Also, the torpedo was observed.
So need to take a look at UB 77's KTB to see when and where her attack was.
