Belgian steamer LAPLAND & UB-124

Hello !

I read before (don’t remember where) that in July 1918 the Belgian steamer LAPLAND was attacked by U-B 64 when bound from Liverpool to New-York. (maybe in convoy, I don’t know ?). She could avoid the torpedoes but one of them hit the British passenger steamer JUSTICIA which was damaged and tugged away. Later on, the UB-124 sunk her while she was towed. 10 crew lost.

After a while, this UB-124 was also attacked by D/C (2 crew lost) (from which ship ???), emerged in emergency and the crew scuttled her. The German crew was then picked up by the LAPLAND (as well as the crew of the JUSTICIA) and disembarked as POW in Belfast.

Can somebody accredit those facts as well as the POW in Belfast ?
