UB I minelayer conversion(s) ?

Hi. This is my first message here, and I have a question. According to Conway's All the World's Fighting Ships 1906-1921, four boats of the UB I class were later converted into minelayers: UB-10, UB-12, UB-16, and UB-17.
I've also read somewhere else(sorry, I can't provide the source on that one) that, HMS Recruit's loss on 9 August 1917 was due to a mine and not from a torpedo.
But from what I've gathered on this site(Ships Hit By U-boats pages), it seems to me that only UB-12 was actually converted into a minelayer and the other three remained as torpedo attack boats.
Is Conway wrong here? Any help would be much appreciated.
