Sorry, but I find new ship damage by submarine. "USS Allen.
31st July 1917. 0620HRS. Pos 5320N 1735W SS Beacon Grange was chased and shelled by enemy submarine. USS Allen went to her assistance and submarine disappeared. Three men were injured and brought to Queenstown by Allen."

What it was submarine and ship damage?
