Hello!
According to a Portuguese source, a book with memories of sailors from the merchant navy, there was a steamship named MIRA, 1633 tons, sunk on November 24th, 1914.
It doesn't say where.
So far, I haven't found any evidence, or any other mention, to this sinking.
If it is true, it may be the first Portuguese ship sunk in the First World War, in spite of Portugal have entered the war only in 1916.
Does this episode sounds familiar to anyone?
Thank you.
