This sounds like a bad retelling of the story of the the German steamer Rolandseck of 1,663 grt, built 1912 which was laid up at Lisbon from August 1914, and seized on February 23, 1916. She then became the Mira under Portugese control but was sunk in a collision on Sunk in collision November 26, 1916 off Corcubion with the Dutch steamer Arundo (3,196 grt, built 1913).

Best wishes,
Michael
