Hi Oliver,
Many thanks for the info relating to the incident involving the SS Caithness and UC 18.
I have now found that the Caithness was sunk by U 52 on 20.4.1917. The U 52 was sunk in the Adriatic on 23.5.1918 by HMS H4.
UC 18 was sunk by the Q-Ship Lady Olive which also sank in the engagement in the English Channel.
