LITTLE MYSTERY
A description of the vessel’s building yard and methods can be seen and down-loaded on:
[u3asited.org.uk]
From differing details of the sinking, “Gun-fire / bombs” it could be inferred that such a small wooden vessel may not leave many large pieces of wreckage.
However, having some years ago seen 85 Ft. wooden fishing vessels being built in Scotland, I was surprised at the sizes of the various hull timbers used in such relatively small vessels..
Depending on any evidence of the damage/destruction done prior to sinking it could be difficult/impossible to find any identifiable residue after so many years.
You would need evidence of either gunfire or incendiary devices, resulting in fire or shattering. Was there any prolonged burning prior to sinking?
Instead of a needle in a haystack you may be looking for splinters in a woodpile!!
You might like to visit the following site which shows some photographs of the remains of a Bristol Channel trader when another wreck was being investigated:
Good luck with your project.
