The Commanders list contains many commanders that made ZERO patrols.
It is not consistant. When the list omits the men that surrendered the uboats
to the Brits on a dangerous war time mission ( remember the Armistice had not
been signed and a state of war still exists) It is a great disserve. They DID
sail across the North Sea. What is needed is a definition of a the word
Commander. I tatally agree with Simon (U67). A man appointed Commander
of a uboat and serves for 2 minutes and then drops dead, that man should be
on Uboat.com's Commander list. Training boat commanders included !
