<HTML>Greetings Alistair-

One excellent source of information would be the book "War In The Southern Oceans 1939-1945" by L.C.F. Turner, H.R. Gordon-Cumming, J.E. Betzler - Oxford University Press, Capetown, 1961. 288 pages. This book was prepared by the Union War Histories Section Of The Office Of The Prime Minister Of The Union Of South Africa. This is one of the definitive histories of the naval war in South African waters. A bookshop dealing in used military books might have a copy of this; Clarke's Bookshop might rate a try - [www.clarkes.co.za] - They were formerly located in Capetown. Try also this site: [www.uboat.net] and [www.uboat.net] and [www.uboat.net].
Hope this helps.
Good Luck.</HTML>
