<HTML>Here is a fascinating story out of New Zealand. It has come to my knowledge that a WW2 German submarine landed on the west coast of the North Island of New Zealand during 1942. It is further reported that this craft then unloaded an amount of "treasure", incuding a facsimile of the Ark of the Covenant. This was stored in a beachside cave and then later placed in an old mine.
The interesting part of the story is that the submarine was then scuttled and the crew were hidden by German sympathisers. I am about to commence a search at the last reported sighting of a wreck that in many ways matches the story and the shape, now buried under beach sand, that of a submarine. We will using magnetic feild detecting equipment flown from a helicopter to ascertain position, depth and size. The last siting of this wreck was in 1986 when local fishermen were dragging their net through the surf at low tide. The net became entangled in what has now bee ascertained as a deck mounted gun.If their is any validity to this story, this would be a turn around for the books and history records. Give me you thoughts. I will keep this forum informed of progress. The search will commence during the first week of May.
