<HTML>At one time or another between 1920 to 1936 the Acheron was on active minesweeping duties . From June till Oct 1936 she was with the UAK , U-BOAT ACCEPTANCE COMMISSION as a guard boat , what that means I do not know for sure after this date till the end of the war she was a sub tender which means that this ship supports several other u-boats with supplies and generally had work shops on board to do mechanical work that may be needed done to the submarine . You can find a line drwing of this ship in the book
