<HTML>Hi Luc,
I allways have an open mind, some on this forum would even charge me with being TOO open-minded.
As far as I can tell, U-869 could not be on the US-coast.......but it is. Concerning the Type XI-B, I am still waiting for the pictures, but as long as nobody can tell me for sure that it is another submarine/u-boat, I stay open-minded for it being the mysterious XI-B.
As for the U-602, I would think that it is hard to believe that none of the crew ever got in touch with their family. I know I would have tried to message my loved ones.
But... to make a long story short, I love the possibility of this being a lost boat from WW2 with an amazing story.
Here is the deal, You dive (and be carefull !!) Take a huge amount of pictures, you can even lower the camera on a piece of rope for all I care, just get us the pictures. On this forum we have the best experts on U-boat identification, we will identify the boat and then we will discuss it further.
Good luck and happy hunting.
