Well Grace, I dont usually follow threads that do not concern type IXB boats, but with this one lasting so long, I thought i would see what was going on. from what I can make out, if one reads the very first line of Marks first message, there is a clue, 'seventies', so for thirty years, a U-boat in a divable depth as not had ONE photo taken, a survivor, THE C/O, alive and has not contacted relatives!!!!!! before he died???. Any of this rings a bell, like pull the other one. john
