<HTML>About 2 years ago I had an exchange of emails with the director of the research team. He sent me a clarified jpg scan of the wreck, which to me looks much more like a XB than anything else. It is impossible to gauge the dimensions correctly & we have to rely on what they claim for it - which casts a shadow of doubt on the whole endeavour since there is no scale to the pictures, at least the ones I saw.
As I stated in a previous post, the damming factor, negating the existence of the type XI, is the claim by the research team that the 'Black Knight" called at Vigo over a 3 (three) day period. Given the number of spies in the area it is inconceivable that such an unorthodox looking boat could have escaped attention & no photos of her taken. The very lack of pictorial documentation and /or Allied intelligence even this long after the facts militates against the boat's existence, at least that is my opinion
