<HTML>My Mother, brother and sister lived in Kames for a while during the war while my father was in a Reserved Occupation in the shipyards Lobnitz or Simons in Renfrew. There is a story that a U-Boat negotiated the Kyles of Bute at some time during the war but I wonder how they negotiated the narrows at Colintraive as it took the Saint Columba and the Queen Mary 2 (the real one) all there time to do it on the surface. People were convinced that they had seen a periscope.
