In other Countries the war graves are managed by the State,not so in Germany. The "Volksbund Deutsche Kriegsgräber Fürsorge"or short "Volksbund" is a NGO which get 10 percent from his money by the German Government,and 90 Percent by Donations,all the work they do
worldwide is made mostly by volunteers.
I am proud member of this organisation,and i worked voluntarly in my vacation many times the last years to build/repair German warcemetaries in Europe.

Today there are 1120 German Warcemetaries in 56 Countries with 1.9 Million Graves.
