The Archive of Poole Flying Boats Celebration: Charity 1123274 would greatly and gratefully welcome a photo of Surcouf at Bermuda, as we are commemorating in 2012 the 70th. Anniversary. There is a particular relevance to Poole as the MB411 Seaplane bearing the name Petrel was left here in May 1941,with her pilot Jacques Hazard at the seaplane training Base of FAA 765 Squadron as HMS Daedalus II at the Royal Naval Air Station, Sandbanks... Jacques Hazard eventually joined
RAAF 10 Squadron at RAF Mount Batten (Plymouth) and became the only Free French Pilot with RAF Coastal Command... Sadly he was lost on Sunderland RB~Y in 1942.
