I agree with 2000 (that still is just weird, calling you \"2000\") on this. I have relatives that served in the kriegsmarine (and were members of the Dutch NSB party). I also have relatives who fought on the allied side and were part of the Dutch Underground (Het Verzet). I\'m proud of both sides. I\'m sure they had their reasons for doing what they did. I believe they fought for what they believed in, even though they did not know everything as we do now, especially on the axis side of things.

I think you should be proud of his bravery if anything. That takes a lot of self-honor and respect. In no way am I pro-nazi, I\'m just outlining the fact that you should be proud of your father no matter what. Sorry to go on like this, I just have strong feelings about this.
