yes that\'s the one and well known. This pic shows a lot, even at least one crewmember clinging to the \"Wintergarten\", and that U 185 still had an impressive speed despite its obvious sinking condition.

My idea is to gather all the shots about this sinking and replace it against the known narratives I could pick up thanks to your advice. The material is tremendous as I now reckon, but it is maybe a good way to pay a tribute to U 185\'s crew as to the Us flyers and to show that war is just what it is... a killing field.
I still find hard to beleive that after so many acounts published about sinkings, so few of the numerous pics taken at the time are being publisherd. One really wonders why: as Napoleon once said, a drawing is better than 10\'000 words...

By the way: do you know about any other pic besides those two and gun camera stills ?
