Agree with you and every commanders first directive - destruction of the enemy is paramount and comes first, then take care of your own casualties, thereafter - if ops allow - offer help to other survivors.
However, some German researchers alledge, Roper\'s actions were intended to make sure, there were no survivors around to be helped. Rgds, RB</HTML>
