<HTML>Hi Kurt,
A very good posting and very true. Your \"P.S.\" brought me to a question. Has the Gustloff ever been attacked prior to its horrendous sinking?
I don\'t recall any attack by the RAF on German hospital ships, except for the attack on the u-boats participating in the rescue of the Laconia incident. The u-boats could probably have been designated as hospital ships as they made red/white crosses and their subsequent role had changed. I\'m not sure if those were RAF aircraft that conducted that raid though.
Best wishes,
