I must have gotten the wrong Italian sub. I would still love to hear about UIT-24 though. Did they do some shuttles from Singapore to Kobe ?
My impression was the fighting u-boats had their keel compartments emptied at dry dock in Singapore and then the UIT boats shuttled those cargoes to Japan from Singapore. Is that correct ?
The Italian boat that surrendered in Durban which I ment to say was Ammiraglio Cagni. Can anybody tell me the fate of Ammiraglio Cagni please ?
