The Italian navy had some of the Moore colorful and filling Subs ...most were larger than those of the Germans, the German subs (Uboats) were quite small and never the less not as appealing.. I took a liking to the italian subs. they were attractive to me..the Italian subs utilized the Wax donut system in every one of their water flushing control valves in their construction..unlike the German Horst Vesser system (utilizing fiber plates causing the subs to become very wet at times). Moore of them were welded, rather than riveted construction like that of the German subs. I like the Japanese (Meatball) Subs.. but they were too small..
