Good to hear from you. You really do have a lot of friends here at uboat.net. I was sorry to hear you had moved on but glad to know where you went. I am sure you will do as well at your new post as you did at your old one.
I expect they are going to have a real hard time finding someone with the knowledge and years of experience you have with U-505. How many others have had their own private U-boat for seventeen years (-:
I personally sincerely appreciate your efforts to preserve U-505. She is the only U-boat of the type that sank my dad’s ship left above water. Now with the U-505 in her new home my son and someday my grandkids will be able to see it too and you have my heartfelt thanks for that.
