<HTML>Thanks again for the radio information. I searched the net in various ways - more to try - to find something specific on the radio models described. I wouldn\'t think that these were used only in Uboots, so some info should be available. If I can find specs or pictures I\'ll let you know. Did you notice that the very low frequency transmitter (for underwater reception by subs) was 1,000 kw (1,000,000 watts). Usually only large TV (6 mhz wide signals) transmitters are in that range. The strongest AM radio stations in U.S. are 50KW. Also, the antenna system must of been huge in view of very low frequency (long wave length). At 100 khz a quarter wave vertical would be 750 meters high. This extreme was overcome by various artifical means of physically shortening the antenna while using loading coils and capacitive \"hats\" to maintain the \"electrical length\" (like the coiled cell-phone antennas on cars). </HTML>
