17 Nov, 1939 Sliedrecht torpedoed and sunk by U-28 northwest of Ireland , AM 5142 was stopped by U 28, the papers were for destination Norway, but the ship had british order to go to Kirkwall. The crew was trasferred in life-boats and the ship sunk by torpedo
07 Dec, 1939 Tajandoen torpedoed and sunk by U-47 south of Ireland BF 2819 was considered as a tanker and torpedoed
15 Jan, 1940 Arendskerk torpedoed and sunk by U-44 in the Bay of Biscay BF 5414 was stopped by shot before the bow, but he continued. Then fire and after 7. shot he stopped. Counterbandgoods for Durban. Crew in 4 life-boats and sunk by torpedo
05 Feb, 1940 Ceronia torpedoed and damaged by U-41 in the Bay of Biscay BF 1599 no information as U 41 sunk the same day
10 Feb, 1940 Burgerdijk torpedoed and sunk by U-48 in the Bay of Biscay. BF 2472 steamer stopped by signal. Control of the papers, ship has to go to the Downs. crew left the ship and was sunk by torpedo
15 Feb, 1940 Den Haag torpedoed and sunk by U-48 in the Bay of Biscay BF2477 G7e shot hit in the middle
18 Feb, 1940 Ameland torpedoed and sunk by U-10 after leaving Rotterdam. AN 8732 G7e on steamer hit on stern
21 Feb, 1940 Tara torpedoed and sunk by U-50 off Portugal CG 2138 steamer hit on stern, steamer stopped, sen SOS, lights are burning, second shot, lights extinguished, steamer sinks after 20\'
02 Mar, 1940 Rijnstroom torpedoed and sunk by U-17 in the North Sea AN 8729 saw steamer.G7a on the tanker, hit on bow sunk in 5 minutes
05 Mar, 1940 Grutto torpedoed and sunk by U-17 in the North Sea AN 8723, saw steamer hit on stern, steamer breaks in two and sunk
07 Mar, 1940 Vecht torpedoed and sunk by U-14 in the North Sea AN 8725 , saw steamer without lights. G7a, hit on stern, sinks by stern until the bridge, swims still during 20\'
11 Mar, 1940 Eulota torpedoed and sunk by U-28 in the Bay of Biscay BF1863 torpedo on tanker, hit in the middle, sinks slowly, crew went in life-boats
I think that AN and BF can be considered as operational zones</HTML>
