<HTML>Ships belonging to Spain and Portugal must have felt safe because sailing in that area there was a large amount of radio traffic from ships of those nations. Presume Portugal had to supply the Azores and Spain the Canary Islands. Never heard any of them sending distress signals. They had the air to themselves as we maintained strict radio silence. Does anyone know of ships belonging to those nations being attacked in that area?
