<HTML>Kurt you hit the nail head on, I\'ve woundered the same thing. Everything else was thrown into the meatgrinder against hopless odds on land and in the air but some how one of the best weapons Germany produced was tied to the dock. I too would almost believe that Doenitz was one of the only commanders that was able to spare lives and choose to not act with what he had left, but yet he was still sending Type VII\'s on patrol in 45??????</HTML>
