<HTML>I visited the sub based at OMSI ( Oregon Museum of Science and Industry ) here in Portland Oregon, a modern diesel, the other day and was able to have them start the engines while onboard. I must say it was deafening, much more than 120db and don\'t see how anyone could survive that for very long without some ear damage. If you know of any VllC type anywhere still alive and kicking I would appreciate the information.
