<HTML>Hello all,
I don\'t know if this isn\'t, strictly speaking, off topic, but I\'ve been wondering for a while and none of the folks I\'ve asked seem to know the true answer:
When talking about a U-boat in German, is it \"das\" U, say, 47 or \"die\" U 47? I seem to remember that ships are always \"die\" in German, but does this also apply to U-boats, which didn\'t have proper names (or am I wrong on that one, too?)?
Thanks and regards,
John</HTML>
