I honestly can\'t believe that people can be this disrespectful towards the merchant marines that gave up their lives in order to supply the war effort. Paul, please study history and the sacrifices of men a little more careful next time before you open your mouth and say things that offend people. If you haven\'t already, check out Captain Duffy\'s website. Once you realize what that man has been through, you would understand things a little better. There is still hope, but I doubt it.

As for you talking to u-boat men and asking them about Captain Duffy, that makes no logical sense whatsoever. Do you realize that the war involved millions of soldiers, civilians, and merchant marines alike???? What are the chances of one vet knowing another vet?? Given there are not many veterans left, sure the chances are better, but they\'re still slim! So what if they don\'t know Captain Duffy?????????? You are the one making him seem like a famous person, not Captain Duffy!

Sorry to all for this argument, but I couldn\'t help it.
