<HTML>Scharnhorst was found around 100 nautical miles off the North Cape. It was very difficult to find the wreck, since no one had seen the wreck go under because of the bad weather. There was a difference on around 50 nautical miles between the allied ships which took part in the hunt. So it took time to find it. It was first dicovered with a sonar and later was the Norwegian Navys\' vessel KNM TYR on the position and found the wreck with a ROV. Many (many) hours with film was taken. No pictures or information concerning the wreck has been shown to us here in Norway. </HTML>
