Though I can be of no help with USS Cythera\'s sinking or U-402\'s demise if you do have already a lot of documentation, I would love to hear some details on U-402 sinking. I\'m in the process of writing detailed accounts supported by the exisiting pictures on some of the well documented U-boat sinkings; those accounts wil be posted on Uboat.Net.

For U-402, I\'ve got only one pic, the one published in Lambert\'s book \"Atlantic Air War : Sub hunters vs. U-boats\" 1999, p. 90. I would appreciate any further info on this particular sinking.
