Hi all,
I know this could be a little off topic but I am so excited by the news.
The italian SSK submarine Enrico Toti was decommissioned some time ago after more than thirty years of service.
The boat will be transferred from Sicily to Milan by sea, by the river Po and finally by road on a special truck to the Museo Nazionale della Scienza e della Tecnica.
There it will placed in ana open area at ten metres from ground and will be permanently displayed to the public.
A door in the hull will be made to permit visitors to enter in the submarine from the building near the area where the sub will be placed.
It isn\'t a WWII u boat but better than nothing ...
Cheers.
Sergio Fearraro.
