You might be interested to know that several of the baracks from the German POW camp in Greely, CO were sold off to the public. People from the surrounding communities purchased them and moved them to lots in town. Right across the street from my former residence were two former baracks. They obviously did not resemble baracks anymore since they had been added on to, but the both had the basic rectangular frame.

I need to go back and visit one of my old neighbors up the street who claimed to have purchased a garage from the camp that supposedly has a mural on the interior wall painted by a POW. From the little research I have done, most of the prisoners in the Greeley camp were from the Afrika Corps. I\'ll have to investigate further if there were any uboatmen.
