Kretschmer (U-99) sank the three armed merchant cruiser HMS Laurentic (18724 tons), HMS Patroclus (11314) and HMS Forfar (16402) and with U-23 the destroyer HMS Daring (1375). A total of 47815 tons.

But armed merchant cruiser were converted merchants.
So I have only counted the \"real\" warships:

Tiesenhausen (U-331) sank the biggest warship:
battleship HMS Barham (31100 tons)

Kelbing (U-593) sank the most warships:
destroyer escorts HMS Holcombe (1087) and HMS Tynedale (1000), minesweeper USS Skill (815) and landing ship USS LST-333 (1625). He damaged also another landing ship with 1625 tons (USS LST-387). Sank 4527 tons and damaged 1625.

The second place goes to Brandi (U-617 and U-967).
He sank three warships with a total of 5000 tons.
Minelying cruiser HMS Welshman (2650 tons), destroyer escorts HMS Puckeridge (1050 tons) and USS Fechteler (1300 tons).
