<HTML>Thanks Antonio and George for those web addresses and pictures. I\'m definitely familiar with www.fedgrau.com and it is certainly an excellent website. There is a good excerpt there from Hans Goebbeler\'s book too as well as many other veteran\'s stories. It\'s good to see both of you here.
Hi John, I\'m glad I found that story too and it touched me as well, especially the last paragraphs like you mentioned. Those were good statements and should not be forgotten.
Thank you Torlef for your post. I couldn\'t agree more. I would say that even though there were 15 percent military personnel on board, they were also refugees. Max, I just cannot understand why the Captain of the Russian sub would feel like a hero. Torlef\'s explanation says it all. Would you feel like a hero if you killed 9,343 people? Most of them civilians? I\'m sorry, but that is not a heroic deed.
Anyway, this disaster should be a lesson.
My best wishes to you all,
Fin
