0505 Dived at dawn North of Coenoeng Laasem and set course 280 degrees towards Mandalika.
0641 Sighted submarine bearing 305 degrees, range 3 miles (enemy contact 4).
Started attack.

0703 Surfaced, Picked up 27 survivors. Took 22 to a fishing vessel. Kept 5 Germans as prisoner.
0745 Proceeded on the surface towards Mandalika. Reloaded 6 spare torpedoes.
1000 Dived and kept submerged patrol off North coast of Java near Mandalika.
1200 Position 06º11\'S 111º06\' E.
1900 Surfaced. Proceeded on course 085 degrees, speed 9 knots. I decided to give this part of Java\'s North coast a rest for a few days, as certainly A/S acticity could be expected here, and to explose the shipping route West of Bawean.

Hr.Ms. Zwaardvisch\'s Journal
The journal says something about this Friday the 6th October 1944 in Dutch.
My English is not so good, but will try to translate this interesting information.

De CO of Hr.Ms.Zwaardvisch - Luitenant ter zee der 1e klasse H. Goossens wrote a remark in ink, Big boat, presumable 1600 ton, course 110, navigation 14\'5.\'

Note that there is a difference of 11 minutes for the action in the Patrolreport and the Journal. We have to take the Patrolreport time as the right time.

Hope that this information is interesting for other forumreaders.
