Submariners - a classic joke.

<HTML>All,

A little light-hearted relief from some of the more serious areas I have been engaged in of late.

A brand new Liuetenant - fresh from Officer school and having completed his sub training - is drafted to a fleet submarine. He is being shown around the boat before she sails on a patrol and is eager to please the Fleet Chief, to whom he is attached for the short tour.

After an hour of listening to the officer going on about his technical knowledge and how much he has learned in sub school, the Chief stops the officer in mid sentence and says.

\'Look, sir. Technical knowledge my arse! The basic rule of subs is as follows. Divide the number of times we go down by the number of times we go up. If it is an odd number - don\'t open any hatches....\'

Well, I thought it was funny!

Aye,

John</HTML>
