<HTML>Hi Ralph,
While Deschimag, Bremen might have built the engine as a one-off 8 cyl version of either the 6cyl one used on the type 7 or the 9cyl one used on the type 9. Either way I doubt that they needed 1500-1800bhp for generator power there. It is more likely that it would be an 8cyl version of the MWM 6 cyl/350bhp one used on the type 2 boats. With 8cyl and turbocharging this engine probably could produce abt 450KW - plenty enough to run all the electrical needs of the Eagles Nest. Rgds, RB</HTML>
