Thanks for the tip on www.photosammler.de. It has some very good photos and I was able to find an excellent early photo of Ernst Bauer there. I have been looking for photos of him in addition to the two on uboat.net for a long time. Ernst Bauer commanded U-126 when she sunk a ship with my dad on it so your tip was a real help to me. As I am sharing what I find with a relative of a U-126 crewmember, you have helped us both.
