I too have read strange tales about U-boat men going to the bars, movies theaters and dancing halls with the local women in Newfoundland. Unfortuately I forget where I have read these tails. However, the readings I do believe were a descriptive history from the locals. Imagine that, walking down the main street and the suddenly seeing a U-boat Kaptlt., with Knights Cross and Oak leaves, tipping his white hat!!!! I also remember reading that the local people observed new faces in a mysterious uniform. Hmmmm. I do know that these readings are not from @#$%&. Good Hunting.
