<HTML>Capt Duffy:
With all due respect to your wartime experiences, and the genuine suffering you received at the hands of your captors, I do not feel the use of such terms is within the bounds of decorum on this site. This whole string really should be deleted... Do we want the victims of German aggression filling this site with talk about \'never forgiving the krauts\'?
Many innocent people, such as yourself, suffered enormous wrongs at the hands of German and Japanese captors, but this is not the place to remember those hurts and hatreds... I am not asking you to forgive what I did not live through, just don\'t bring it here.
Long term followers of this site, such as you, will have seen me repeatedly plainly and forcibly state the terrible behavior of the IJN and IJA during the war. I am no apologetic, but I do find this type of hateful nomenclature to be inappropriate for a studious historical forum.
BTW, \'bakka\' is a very mild rebuke (often used among friends and with children), far milder than what you are saying in return....
Sincerely,
Kurt</HTML>
