last U-boat sunk?

<HTML>Can anyone tell me the particulars of the U-boat sunk by an American warship after the war was over? There is a marker devoted to this crew in the Archive\'s Garden of Remembrance, but I can\'t recall the details, and it is not specifically referred to in the Archive\'s tour brochure.

I\'d at least like to know the boat number, date of sinking, and by which warship.
