<HTML>John;
Have not much time to reply as ops. is keeping us busy over here. However, we have copies of the original OSS documents referring to the mutinies occurring at Gdynia & Gotenhafen, (and other Baltic ports), on and around 20 July, 1944. Cannot pull the actual documents now as they are buried in our volumnous research files. However, there is distinct mention of these mutinies within the OSS \"Breakers Cables\" submitted by Allen Dulles in Bern to OSS Chief Donovan in Washington, DC. Specific cables are: Nos. 4111, 4112, 4115 & 4116, (as contained within US National Archives & Records Administration Record Group 226, (located at College Park, Maryland, US). For a public version of these documents and/or excerpts mentioning these mutinies, I refer you to \"The History of the German Resistance: 1933-1945\", by Peter Hoffmann, which should be available in your local library. These particular \'Breaker\' Cables span the dates of 17 May to 23 July, 1944. When Dulles was briefed by Fritz Kolbe on 20 July, (intelligence series known as the \"Boston\" series within OSS Archives), he was informed that \'Breakers were breaking\', and that numerous forms of mutunies were breaking out along the Baltic ports of Gdynia and Gotenhafen. How extensive this mutiny was I am not sure, but it certainly and quickly gleaned the attention of the loyal Nazi officers/troops, who within three days had quelled the small revolts. Hope this is of some assistance.
