<HTML>I really do wonder, sometimes, just how many of The History Channel\'s military programmes are assembled by academic types who never personally served in the military. It\'s a far stretch to go from an order, dictated by harsh experience, to refrain from rescue attempts to claiming that this is the same as the deliberate killing of survivors. You just don\'t do things that\'s going to endanger your own people at the expense of helping the enemy. (Particularly when the enemy tries to take advantage of rescue attempts to kill your people.)

Admiral Gallery may have had the best comment on the whole idea of charging Dönitz with \"waging aggressive warfare.\" He said, \"If he\'d waged any other kind of war, his own side should have hanged him\"
